Text Box: Committee Meeting 12/5/2007
Attendees: Chairman Vince, Mary, Ernie, Scoutmaster Paul, Jane, Bob, Peg, and Don.
Scoutmaster’s Report:
The meetings have been well attended with work done on skills and advancement.
Alex’s Eagle project was a success, and a challenge. After moving a yard of earth, a large chunk of concrete was found, and the scouts smashed away at it with great success. The plans changed when we were told it could be encasing a pipe. Alex switched to a platform instead of a first step to straddle the concrete, and the project was mostly finished on Sunday. It looks great, and is solid and useful.
A court of honor should be held in January. January will also be Troop Junior Leadership Training.
State-of-the-troop:
The Membership chair is VACANT! We need a parent volunteer for the position.
Jane has put together a binder containing a list of the merit badges earned by each scout.
Finance:
Treasurer Mary reported bank balances of $904 for the scout account and $1,451.66 in the troop account.
Wreath money should be turned in. A payment for the wreaths is due 12/20. Peg reported that 39 were sold at the Madeleine in one day! Bob created thank you ribbons to attach to each wreath, which we should remember to do next year.
