Text Box: Lions are considering our request for donations. Thank you Lions! And thank you Peg for writing the letter to the Lions. We have committed to run a snack bar at 5 Cal basketball games for a minimum of $200 per game. Older scouts and parents can volunteer. Other Program Notes: Bob is offering the architecture merit badge and there will be a tour of his house remodel on Sat., Dec. 15th from 10am-11am. Herms roundtable is the second Wednesday. Troop 19 rep Jane will attend. Thank you Jane! Service Projects: Alex’s eagle project is the weekend of December 1. Alex will provide details. November 10 is Scouting for Food. Dinner for the poor at St. Mary Magdalen Parish. Setup 1-3 PM November 1st and 4th. Upcoming Outings: December: Bowling and Sunol Wilderness outing. January: Death Valley and Boreal skiing February: Mt. Shasta snow trip. March: Build an Igloo or snow cave when we go snow camping! Next meeting: Wednesday December 5, 2007 at 6:35 PM

Text Box: Committee Meeting 11/7/2007 Attendees: Chairman Vince, Mary, Ernie, Scoutmaster Paul, Jane, Bob, Peg, and Don. Scoutmaster’s Report: The Pinnacles overnight was great fun and included hiking through the bat cave and several hours of being lost in the giant Hollister corn maze. Troop youth leadership training is planned for December and January in preparation for the national troop leadership training that is offered in February. The November 17 little Yosemite hike in the Sunol Wilderness was cancelled and plans are for it to take place December 16. We would like to cook with the new backpacking stoves and bring full packs, since this is a practice hike for our 2008 phillmont trek. State-of-the-troop: The Membership chair is VACANT! We need a parent volunteer for the position. Vince arranged with Principal Deehan at the Madelaine for troop flyers to be distributed to all 6-8 grade boys last month. Also, Keaseley Jones DEN 6 plans to visit! Finance: Treasurer Mary reported bank balances of $744 for the scout account and $1,057.66 in the troop account. Wreath chair (Peg): Pre order wreaths tonight. Wreaths can be picked up on Nov. 21, before Thanksgiving. Bob made a flyer and an ad for the St. Mary’s bulletin. Extra wreaths can be sold after masses on 11/25. Paul will work with the scouts on this.
